So I downloaded the new Mastodon album last night and as expected it's fucking amazing. Oh, and no I don't have a problem with downloading the album as I will buy the album the first day it is released as already planned.
This band really can do no wrong. I'm sure there are people out there who might have though that they couldn't have topped 'Leviathan', but after the listening I've put in already, I have to say it's better.
They still have that heavy rock/metal feel, but the songs are way more technical this time round. Some of the riffs and time signatures are just bullshit. Basically they retained all the parts that made 'Leviathan' so brilliant and expanded on those ideas.
I don't think I could describe it properly and do it justice, so I'll just say, 'BUY IT' and leave it at that. You won't be disappointed.
